Mara Explorer Camp is located on the banks of the Talek river in the heart of the Maasai Mara in southwest Kenya.

Heritage Management operates a range of these Explorer camps in Kenya, smaller and more expensive than their Intrepids range and designed to service the upper end of the packaged tourist market.

This lodge has 10 tented rooms, so is a lot more intimate than its larger neighbour, but it is still noticeably part of a large chain. Not our absolute favourite maybe and it is premium priced, but otherwise a perfectly decent option in a pretty spot in a very good game area.
